Teacake Stationery

July 13, 2013 by Graham Sykes

As co-founder and long-term collaborator I have been involved in all aspects of Teacake Design's branding, positioning and creative output since its conception. The latest project involved an overhaul of the existing branding to create a new website and stationery to promote our work. These hand letter-pressed Factory Yellow business cards were printed on 540gsm Colorplan and featured illustrations taken from original printing block artwork.

Where will you hang yours?

July 13, 2013 by Graham Sykes

Every designer enjoys a Christmas project and these festively-foiled, die cut calling cards invited Cherry's clients and friends to share their Christmas trees online as they hung our baubles. The designs used a custom, digitally inspired illustration and 350gsm Black Plike mounted on recycled beer matt board.

AOP Summit Branding

July 13, 2013 by Graham Sykes

The Association of Online Publishers (AOP) is an industry body representing digital publishing companies creating original, branded, quality content. While working at Cherry I created branding and artwork for their flagship summit event. This combination of a QR code-inspired theme, traditional print processes and bold colours created an iconic identity that was used to brand the venue and communications both preceding and during the event itself.

Teacake were approached to give this movement a visual identity that would bolster its impact on the creative industry as a whole.

Sporf's goal is to support artists by showcasing their work online. Based in Sheffield the company has a wide range of initiatives that needed to be aligned under one robust identity system that reflected the industrious surroundings of this established creative organisation. This work was created as part of a pitch proposal for the organisation.

This typographic identity was created for Shoreditch based video production and motion graphics company Let's Do Media. Playful but impactful the identity presented their craft  to a modern audience at the heart of the creative industry in East London. This company later evolved to become Cherry Films.
